We care about design. We care about the details. We care about helping clients. We care about our lives outside of work.

At Q30 we’re after something simpler, more sane, and more elegant: we believe that good design improves our client’s business and helps make the lives of people they serve better, and we are willing to take the time to painstakingly deliver just that, day after day, month after month, year after year.

Our Story

Q30 had humble beginnings in 1991. Two young designers (founders Glenda Rissman and Peter Scott) had worked together for 8 years at a prominent Toronto design firm before deciding to make a go of it on their own. Two creative people and 1 computer. Glenda focussed on sales and Peter on design. Small jobs led to other small jobs and before they knew it, they hired their first staff member, Darrell Corriveau, who remains a key part of the business to this day (we added a second computer at this point).

Big jobs like TD Bank’s Annual Report came shortly thereafter and our small business grew and many talented and wonderful people joined Q30 over the years and many stayed with us for the long haul – hopefully a testament that good people, doing good work for good clients is a pretty good business model.

In 2022, Glenda stepped away from her role at q30 to pursue personal projects. As Founder Emerita she now serves as a Special Advisor to Q30’s senior team.
